Canadiana Flower Pot
Glazed earthenware flower pot with design adapted from a salt-glazed stoneware jug made by an unknown Quebec or Ontario potter for Carter Kerry & Co., ca. 1870-90.
Royal Ontario Museum, Dr. Wallace Graham Collection, 968.28.66.
Made for a Montreal druggist, the original jug has a painted cobalt blue decoration which is among the best naive art forms produced in Canada in the late 19th Century. Flower pot handmade by Rebecca McCarthy.
