e.Learning: The Royal Ontario Museum and Contact North
The Royal Ontario Museum and Contact North/Contact Nord have Partnered to Provide Students from Across Ontario with Virtual Visits to the ROM
Bring your Grade 4 or Grade 5 students to the ROM without ever leaving your classroom! This live and interactive program features the ROM collection. It is taught by a ROM teacher. To participate, all you need is an internet connection, a classroom computer and a reservation. Classes are available beginning January, 2012. A new topic will be introduced each month until June:
- Egypt (January)
- Medieval Europe (February)
- Dinosaurs (March)
- Astronomy (April)
- Rocks & Minerals (May)
- Habitats & Communities (June)
Programs last for one hour. They are available on Tuesdays and Thursdays at 10 AM EST and 1 PM EST. This program is offered free-of-charge from January-June, 2012.
