Iconography of World Religions

Iconography of World Religions

Explore the ROM's galleries to examine statues, paintings and artifacts that embody ideas and beliefs. Students learn a vocabulary of forms and gestures to enable them to decode sacred images. Teachers may choose from among ancient religions, Native American spirituality, Judaism, Christianity, Buddhism and Daoism. After April 2008, classes will also be able to study Islam.

If you would like this program to be customized to your needs, please provide a detailed description in the "Additional Information" field during the checkout process.  A ROM staff member will contact you to discuss your request.
