Explore the ROM's diverse collection of religious artefacts.  Investigate statues, paintings and ritual objects which illustrate various religions and belief traditions including: Buddhism, Hinduism, Judaism, Christianity and Islam.  Learn the vocabulary of forms and gestures that will enable you to decode these sacred images.  In the course of this program, students may visit the following galleries:  Samuel European Galleries, Wirth Gallery of the Middle East, Joey and Toby Tanenbaum Gallery of China, Sir Christopher Ondaatje South Asian Gallery, Joey and Toby Tanenbaum Gallery of Byzantium, Bishop White Gallery of Chinese Temple Art, and Matthews Family Court of Chinese Sculpture.
