Fashion & Family: A Cultural Expression

Discover how people expressed themselves, their status and their role in the family through clothing and decorative means. This could include a variety of cultures such as Ancient Egypt, Greece, Rome, Japan, Inuit and Tudor Period.  Also included, the !Viva Mexico! Exhibition on until May 23, 2016 in the Patricia Harris Gallery of Textiles and Costume. This exhibit focuses on the traditional weaving techniques and contemporary ensembles of Mexico that owe their vitality to the fusion of traditions, cultures and technologies over Mexico’s history.
