Investigate the diversity of life on Earth and the ecosystems in which they are found while visiting the Schad Gallery of Biodiversity: Life in Crisis. With over one thousand specimens, seven different ecosystems showing diverse plant and animal communities and live specimens, this lesson will provide a rich introduction to the natural world.

Curriculum links: identify biotic and abiotic elements and describe the interactions between them; describe roles of producers, consumers, and decomposers; describe matter cycles and energy transfer; describe impacts of human activities on ecosystems
