What do a Suffragette card, a gold pan and a Morse code sender have in common? These are just some examples of authentic objects that students can touch to connect with Canada’s history. This lesson includes a hands-on lab. Themes such as women in society, industrialization, inventions & technology, role of the family and Western Canada are explored. Students will visit the Daphne Cockwell Gallery of Canada: First Peoples, the Sigmund Samuel Gallery of Canada and the Samuel European Galleries.
