Biodiversity

Maintaining biodiversity is critical to the health of the planet. Just a fraction, however, of the Earth's incredible natural richness has been discovered. By exploring the Schad Gallery of Biodiversity students will investigate the characteristics of a variety living things and assess human impacts on biodiversity.

Curriculum links: assess human impacts on biodiversity, and identify ways of preserving biodiversity; investigate the characteristics of living things, and classify diverse organisms according to specific characteristics; demonstrate an understanding of biodiversity, its contributions to the stability of natural systems, and its benefits to humans

Do not combine with Biodiversity of Vertebrate Animals or Biodiversity of Invertebrate Animals due to similar content.
