Explore societies including Egypt, Greece, Rome, and China.  Discover similarities and differences in the way each culture addressed the basic issues of civilization: government, food supply, social organization, family structures, beliefs and art. Hear stories that illuminate human nature and innovation.  

Does not include a lab.  If you would like to have a lab, please choose a combined program (tour & lab).

Curriculum links:

  • identify and compare how early civilizations met physical and social needs
  • use original artifacts to investigate characteristics of early civilizations, including their technological advances
  • show how innovations by early civilizations influence the modern world
