ROM Sleepovers
Experience the Museum in the dark at ROMkids Sleepovers!
Experience Toronto’s ultimate backstage museum pass at the Royal Ontario Museum. Before bunking down for a ROMkids Sleepover, visitors enjoy a special movie screening and exclusive after-hours access to our galleries. Guests can also get up close to Museum artifacts, speak with ROM experts, and make their own souvenir to take home! Plus don't miss the PJ karaoke and midnight snack. For children ages 5 years and older. We require a supervision ratio of one adult (19+) to 5 children.

Sleepovers include admission to the ROM for the evening and following day of your event. Groups of any size are welcome. All ROMkids Sleepovers begin Friday at 5 pm and end Saturday at 10 am.

Where will we sleep?
Sleepover participants will bunk down in the Samuel Hall
Currelly Gallery, Canada Court. Sleeping areas are assigned by ROMkids Sleepover program staff and cannot be selected. Washrooms are readily accessible for changing. Please note that we do not have shower facilities and that storage lockers are not secure so it is best to keep your valuables on your person or to leave them at home.
What should I bring?
Everyone must bring their own sleeping bag and pillow. Please note that the sleeping areas are not carpeted, so sleeping mats are suggested. Other items to bring are toothbrush, toothpaste, washcloth and towel, flashlights and comfortable sleeping clothes.
Will there be extra supervision and security?
What will be served for the midnight snack and breakfast?
The late night snack (10:30 pm- 12:30 am) will include a cheese or pepperoni pizza slice, popcorn or chips, juice box or milk/soymilk or chocolate milk.
The continental breakfast (7-9 am) will include a breakfast sandwich or cereal box or yogurt, whole seasonal fruit, juice box or milk/soymilk or chocolate milk, coffee or tea. Bottled water available outside the theatre after movie presentation.
Can I bring my own food?
No outside food or beverages will be allowed into the Museum. Your snack and breakfast must be consumed in the designated eating area. Food provided is nut free, but kitchen facilities do handle foods with nuts, so we cannot guarantee a nut free environment.
In the case of food allergies or restrictions, participants may bring their own food in clearly marked containers to be consumed within the designated eating area only. Please note that no refrigeration or heating facilities are available.
Where is the ROM and is there parking?
The ROM is located at the corner of Bloor Street and Queen's Park in downtown Toronto. ROMkids Sleepover guests are asked to use the Museum's Loblaw School Entrance located at the south end of the building on Queen's Park. For details please see the floor plan (PDF).
