This early fall trip to Stratford to see Christopher Plummer as Prospero in The Tempest, is indeed an exciting one! There are only a few matinees of The Tempest in September, and excellent seats have been obtained. We will enjoy lunch at The Stratford Country Club. The club traces its beginnings back to 1896, when William Maynard began golfing in the open fields north of the Avon River. The present club boasts over 800 members, with active squash, curling and golf sections. This outstanding day will provide the rare opportunity to see Christopher Plummer on stage at The Festival Theatre, topped off by lunch at one of Stratford’s oldest private clubs.
