Italian Rapier Fencing - NEW COURSE

Saturdays, January 23 - February 13, 2:00 - 3:30 pm (4 weeks); at AEMMA training studio, 927 Dupont St.

Status: The first session of this program has begun. Registration not available.

Learn the basics of Italian rapier fencing, as taught by Ridolfo Capoferro . Training includes an extensive introduction to posture, movement, and the four guard positions, as well as the essential principles inherent to all fencing systems: timing (tempo), distance (misura), and constraining (stringere). Equipment requirements: comfortable loose fitting clothes (especially the pants), athletic shoes, and leather gloves.

Practice rapiers will be provided for class use.


Location: AEMMA training studio, 927 Dupont St.

Cost: Public $120.00, Member $105.00

Equipment fee $20 payable in first class.
