
Scotiabank Nuit Blanche Royal Dance Party 2008

30 minute sets performed at 9 pm, 10 pm, 11 pm and midnight.
Led by uniquely dynamic violinist and creative artist, Dr. Draw, this dance event features musicians and dancers performing a mashup of diverse musical styles including rock, classical, urban and electronic. Picture a stage with a full string ensemble, fiery percussion and feature performers, from opera singers to hip-hop artists. The Royal Dance Party explores the common pulse that motivates people to groove, creating an intense party atmosphere that celebrates Toronto's diverse cultures.
Seating is limited. DJs will perform in Hyacinth Gloria Chen Crystal Court between sets. Cash bar open on Level 1.

In celebration of Scotiabank Nuit Blanche, the Institute for Contemporary Culture at the ROM is providing free admission to the 2008 Sobey Art Award Exhibition presented by Scotiabank, which runs until October 13, 2008. Equivalent to the Turner Prize, the Sobey Art Award, presented by Scotiabank is the pre-eminent prize for a young Canadian artist. Each year, the exhibition showcases the Award’s five finalists, and the ROM is pleased to be this year’s host.
