An inspiring gathering of stimulating and eclectic people under the ROM's cathedral ceilings, hosted by the Friends of South Asia Committee. A soiree where one can sip sumptuous cocktails, see South Asian contemporary arts in many forms and swoon over South Asian culture in all its splendour.

Artists Include:
Sylvat Aziz, will examine through painting and sculpture, cultural customs and practices where invasive personal manipulation extends to thought, usuallly along gender, class and blood lines.
Noni Kaur, installation artist, will create a ground sculpture using traditional techniques and exploring subjects and female sexuality, sensuality and the cultural attitudes around them.
Anita Katakkar, musician, will create underlying melodic and rhythmic loops on a keyboard and play a mixture of contemporary grooves and classical compositions and tabla.
Sudarshan Belsare, dancer and video installation artist, will present a black and white video loop of a dance performance that integrates his bold and edgy approach, dexterity and technical virtuosity.
Puja Amin, dancer, will present a collage of Indian dance with swift beats and resonating voices that meld the enticing rhythms of traditional and modern-day India.
Plus, get a rare glimpse of treasures from the ROM's South Asian collection before the Sir Christopher Ondaatje South Asian Gallery re-opens later this year. Musical ambiance by Cultural Spinstress DJ Zahra
