Young Patrons’ Circle (YPC) supports the ROM’s overall mission to engage the world, inspire wonder and build understanding of world cultures and natural history. Pond Lily lamp. Tiffany Studios (American, active 1902-1932), Corona, New York, USA. Blown iridescent glass, partinated bronze, c. 1902. Purchased by the Royal Ontario Museum with the assistance of a Moveable Cultural Property grant accorded by the Minister of Canadian Heritage. This acquisition was made possible with the generous support of the Department of Museum Volunteers Acquisition and Research Fund. Certified Canadian Cultural Property.

Join us for a tour of The Art of Collecting with
ROM curators Robert Little and Brian Musselwhite.

The exhibition highlights over 100 works selected from the 7,000 artifacts acquired by the Museum's European Department over the last 15 years.

The exhibition also pays tribute to the many generous donors who have made the ROM's European Decorative Art Collection the most comprehensive in Canada.

Palenque: The Art and History of an Ancient Maya Royal Court with David Stuart

King Pakal was one of the greatest ancient rulers and the most prominent among a long line of monarchs in the city state of Palenque from 300 to 800 CE. Known as the "queen of Maya cities," Palenque fell into ruin and was abandoned along with other great urban centers when Maya civilization suffered a mysterious collapse more than 1,000 years ago.
