3D Imaging

The ROM’s 3D imaging was created with an Arius3D laser scanner to create high-resolution detail and data. Three-dimensional objects that mirror their real-world counterparts were created using this information.

A select number of these 3D models are available for online viewing through ROM Images. View the following records, specifically the "Other Media" field:

Many of the 3D models are included in the Shaping Canada: Our Voices and Stories program displayed in the ROM Digital Gallery.

All of our 3D models are available for licensing by third-party clients (see Permissions & Licensing for more information).
