Needle Case
Made of ivory, moss, and sinew
Before metal needles became available, the Inuit carved sewing
needles from ivory. Both ivory and metal needles would be stored in a case filled
with moss or attached to a length of skin and protected in a tube.
From South Baffin Island or eastern Hudson Bay
