| Bag Handle
Made of ivory and skin
Large, oblong bags of skin serve to hold tools and various
implements. The bags are carried with bone or ivory handles tied lengthwise, parallel
with the bags’ open mouths. The engraved whale-tail and circle and dot motifs
may represent tallies of whales captured and the record of events over a period
of time.
