Description
Students explore the origins of fashion in both the Lab and the Patricia Harris Gallery of Textiles and Costumes. Discussions include the psychological, sociological and cultural attitudes towards clothing and beauty. In the Lab, students study garments, accessories and textiles that illustrate how clothing style styles, textiles and silhouette communicate different cultural attitudes over time.
This program is specifically recommended for students interested in fashion design or fashion and creative expression. Do not combine with Fashion & Family: A Cultural Expression due to similar content.
Maximum 60 people (including students, teachers, educational assistants and supervisors) at one time.
