Description
Astronomy is an exciting, ever-changing modern science with new discoveries taking place all the time. Students will identify major types of astronomical objects, handle real rocks from space, learn how to read a star map and discover current events taking place in the sky. The planetarium provides a view of light polluted city night sky and a dark country sky and shows the seasonal constellations.
Curriculum Links: follow established safety procedures for handling materials; identify components of the solar system; identify bodies in space that emit light and reflect light; identify technological tools and devices needed for space exploration
