Description
Be transported back to the communities of European settlers and First Nations in the early 1800s as you visit the Sigmund Samuel Gallery of Canada and the Daphne Cockwell Gallery of Canada: First Peoples.
Curriculum links:
• describe the communities of early settlers and First Nation peoples in Upper Canada, circa 1800
• explore interactions between new settlers, First Nation communities, and the impact of factors such as heritage, natural resources, and climate on early settlers
• compare life in early settler communities to present-day communities
