Duration : 90 minutes
Language : English
Subject : Science
Price : $16.00

Description
Astronomers are discovering new planets and planetary systems on a regular basis today. What is a planet? How did the solar system form? Will we find another Earth? Students will have the opportunity to handle actual meteorites and discover the information they tell us. The planetarium component will look at finding planets, both in the night sky with the unaided eye and the search for other worlds around distant stars.

Curriculum links: locate observable features of the night sky; describe the theoretical and evidential underpinnings of the big bang theory; explain the classification, properties, and life cycles of stars; analyse developments of technologies such as the Hubble Space Telescope

Maximum 25 people (including students, teachers, educational assistants and supervisors) at one time.
