Biographie

Baccalauréat en arts visuels, Université York, 1974

Arni Brownstone s’occupe des collections ethnographiques d’Amérique latine et de quatre régions d’Amérique du Nord : les Grandes Plaines, le Plateau, le Grand Bassin et le Sud-Ouest. Il monte des expositions à l’aide des artéfacts de ces cultures et les expose en galerie. Il a étudié la culture visuelle des Indiens des plaines du Nord et s’intéresse particulièrement à la peinture pictographique des Indiens des Plaines. Il est en train de rédiger un livre dans lequel il a redessiné plus de cinquante grandes peintures pictographiques, dont certaines figurent ci-dessous.
