Digital Gallery
Level 1, Learning Centre
The Digital Gallery is part of the ROM's expanded Learning Centre that includes a library and several classrooms. Equipped with digital video projectors and 16 workstations, the gallery allows visitors to interact with the ROM's collections in virtual two-and three-dimensional spaces.
Primarily targeted to school groups, the Digital Gallery offers the two 50-minute presentations, including Daily Life in Ancient Egypt and the newest program, Shaping Canada: Our Voices and Stories, that explores Canadian history and the people who have shaped and continue to shape the development of our country.
Shaping Canada: Our Voices and Stories is generously supported by Ian Ihnatowycz and Marta Witer, and the Ukrainian Canadian Community.
The Digital Gallery has been developed as part of ROM Digital, a Museum-wide initiative that uses digital imaging to bring the collections to the public in new and innovative ways. The Digital Gallery will eventually provide the public onsite and online access to the collections.
The Digital Gallery is presented by Ian Ihnatowycz and Marta Witer, and the Ukrainian Canadian Community.
The Digital Initiative and the development of the Digital Gallery is generously supported by the Ivey Foundation, Jennifer Ivey Bannock, the Government of Ontario - Ministry of Culture Capital Rehabilitation Fund, Red and Brenda Wilson, the Department of Canadian Heritage - Virtual Museum of Canada, John Wood and Arius3D Canada.
