The ROM Song Circle is a group of ROM staff members and their friends who meet about once a month to share their love of music. Everyone gets a turn to choose a song as we go around the circle. The group was started by Gene Wilburn around 1994. Some “circlers” play instruments (banjo, guitar, drum, etc.), and some add their voices. We meet in one of the classrooms on Fridays after work. Former staff members continue to come back to the Circle, and new members are welcomed any time. It is another extension of the ROM family – an example of something else that goes on behind the scenes!
