For over a quarter century of my life I have been misunderstood and one day a social worker suggested that I be checked out for suspicion of a condition called "Asperger's Syndrome".
Lo and behold across the street from your museum near the Grand and Toy is a building whereI was seeing my then therapist and months later got a life-altering revelation of Asperger's Syndrome. The ROM will forever be in my heart for I have endured a diagnosis which years ago was rarely heard of and isnow more known than ever before.
Since the diagnosis of Asperger's Syndrome I have made an awareness of this condition via print, presentations and also being on the Loblaw Lowdown newsletter as a cashier with Presidential Status who has Asperger's Syndrome. The ROM can and will be forever remembered as the landmark that heralded my revelation of my life mystery that has forever changed my life.
