Young Patrons’ Circle (YPC) supports the ROM’s overall mission to engage the world, inspire wonder and build understanding of world cultures and natural history. Through unique educational, social and cultural initiatives, YPC enhances the ROM experience while providing a philanthropic opportunity to those 45 and younger.

Dear Patrons,

As YPC Chair and Team Leader of the YPC Run for the ROM Team, I am pleased to invite you to join us and show your support for the Museum by running or walking with our team in the Toronto Scotiabank Waterfront Marathon on Sunday, October 14, 2012.

The YPC team will be raising funds to support the ROM's highest priorities, including the future Peter F. Bronfman Gallery of Early Life, scheduled to open during the Museum's centennial year in 2014.

If you are interested in running or walking in support of the ROM with the YPC team click here to join us! If cheering on the side is more your style then become a Team Donor. All pledges will receive an official tax receipt.

We have a YPC team goal of $5,000 and any team member who sets a personal fundraising goal of $1,000 or more and meets their target will have their registration costs refunded to them.

I look forward to welcoming you to our team!

Sincerely,
Anna-Maria Kaneff
YPC Chair

CARNIVAL: FROM EMANCIPATION TO CELEBRATION
Open Now!
Hilary and Galen Weston Wing, Level 2

Be dazzled by this vibrant display that features the costumes and artwork of Brian Mac Farlane, six-time winner of Trinidad and Tobago's Carnival. Respected worldwide, Mac Farlane's dazzling creations stun the eye and spark the imagination.

The exhibition will feature select costumes, photographs and renderings from the last three years: Resurrection: The Mas (2010); Humanity: The Circle of Life (2011); and Sanctification…in Search of (2012). His themes evoke the broader symbolic and historical meaning of Carnival, which ties the Caribbean experience to our own Toronto Carnival.
