As Managing Director of ROM’s Centre for Contemporary Culture, you are a strong and effective leader, recognized for visionary thinking and innovation.  Admired for your ability to forge and leverage strong relationships with curatorial, programming, educational, operational and philanthropic teams, you will be accountable for positioning the Centre and the ROM as world leaders.  Internally, you’ll serve as originator and coordinator of the inspiring and thought provoking projects for which the Centre is known.  Externally, you will be the face of the Centre, the chief proponent of its vision and the driving force behind its strategic partnerships.

Qualifications

You have a graduate degree or equivalent experience, preferably within the cultural, creative or social science area.  Your candidacy is further enhanced by a minimum of six years experience in a museum, academic or creative industry environment with at least  four years in a progressively managerial capacity.  Your demonstrated success of bringing multi-dimensional ideas to life is outstanding and you are comfortable communicating your vision and deploying a range of traditional and non-traditional means to build community, audiences and philanthropic support.  Experience working with boards, advisors, sponsors and donors will be important to your success in this role.
