About

For 100 years, social work education and practice has made a significant impact on individuals, families, and communities in Toronto. The stories displayed in Classroom to Community: A Century of Social Work in Toronto highlight the efforts of social work to address the diverse issues that affect individuals and communities in Toronto.

1914 was the beginning of a century of social work innovation in Toronto. Students, practitioners, and communities around the city collaborated on pressing social issues at the Factor-Inwentash Faculty of Social Work at the University of Toronto and Family Service Toronto. A century later, visitor will see how these institutions remain on the cutting-edge of their field.

Classroom to Community: A Century of Social Work in Toronto was developed by the Museum Studies Program Exhibition Project Team, Factor-lnwentash Faculty of Social Work, Family Service Toronto and the Royal Ontario Museum
