Description
Monotheism arose in the ancient Near East. In this course students will follow the development of Jewish culture and traditions from Ancient Mesopotamia, to early modern Europe.
Students will investigate historical artifacts from Hellenistic and Middle Eastern cultures in the museum's galleries and continue their exploration of Judaism through to modern Europe in the Dr. Fred Weinberg and Joy Cherry Weinberg Gallery of Judaica.
In the lab component,students will have a hands-on-opportunity to examine ancient and modern artifacts reflecting the history and traditions of the Jewish people and their role in the development of Western Civilization.
Maximum 70 people (including students, teachers, educational assistants and supervisors) at one time.
