In addition to our regular galleries, the following hands-on galleries are available for use during self-guided times. A RATIO OF ONE SUPERVISOR TO SEVEN CHILDREN IS REQUIRED TO USE THESE GALLERIES:
The Hands-on Biodiversity gallery focuses on the incredible diversity of living things, and the interactions between them. This interactive gallery offers students the chance to use specimens from the ROM's life sciences collections to learn about the interdependence of all living things. From food webs to habitats and communities, students will explore the biodiversity in their own home and backyard, as well as in a Tallgrass Prairie and Savanna, Mixed Wood Forest, Carolinian forest, Great Lakes Marsh and Tropical Rainforest. Students are encouraged to make observations, draw comparisons, and develop critical thinking with respect to biodiversity issues and concerns.
The CIBC Discovery Gallery offers visitors hands-on activities and real objects to examine to bring to life the mystery, excitement, and fascinating journey of discovery.
Minimum 10 people.
