Description
Maintaining biodiversity is critical to the health of the planet. Just a fraction, however, of the Earth’s incredible natural richness has been discovered. By exploring the Schad Gallery of Biodiversity, interacting with multi-media and learning from passionate ecologists, students will investigate the characteristics of a variety living things and assess human impacts on biodiversity.
Curriculum links: assess human impacts on biodiversity, and identify ways of preserving biodiversity; investigate the characteristics of living things, and classify diverse organisms according to specific characteristics; demonstrate an understanding of biodiversity, its contributions to the stability of natural systems, and its benefits to humans
