Self Guided Visits

Shape your school visit to the Royal Ontario Museum to your class’s requirements. The ROM’s self-guided programs allow students of all ages to learn and grow in a rich and inspiring environment. Our current exhibitions, World Culture Galleries, Natural History Galleries and Hands-On Galleries offer learning experiences for all grade levels.

Explore the Bat Cave, James and Louise Temerty Galleries of the Age of Dinosaurs or Galleries of Africa: Egypt. Take your class on an active learning adventure in our CIBC Discovery Gallery and dig for dinosaurs, dress up in costumes, interact with our collection in the digital gallery or explore the vast diversity of life on earth.

The ROM's special Wednesday Morning Program is aimed at showing the highlights of the Museum to our youngest visitors. From 11:00 am to 1:00 pm, students can interact with resource staff – the OWLS –stationed throughout the museum with exciting artifacts and specimens.  Note:  This program was previously offered on Monday mornings.

Free Tuesdays for Post-Secondary Students
ROMCAN provides free general admission for all full-time students attending a post-secondary institution in Canada on Tuesdays. This offer is for one ticket per student and we ask that students please present their current student card with picture ID.
