Schindler discusses the controversy over the links between pollution from the oil sands industry with cancer deaths in fort Chipewyan on the Athabasca River in Alberta, what action has been taken, and what issues need to be addressed by future monitoring in order to develop the oil sands without jeopardizing the river or people downstream.
