It’s that time of year!  ROM for the Holidays is finally here, and we’ve been hard at work in the Keenan Family Gallery of Hands-on Biodiversity (HOB for short) getting some new hands-on activities ready to go.

First up is the brand-new, never-before-seen touch table that we put together in honour of our lost baby bison.

Today is the last day of the LEGO Sphinx build at the ROM.  There has been a lot of progress and it’s been great to have seen so many of you out to see the Sphinx near completion, and to join in on the other LEGO activities on this weekend.

Other LEGO activities?  You bet, but first, let’s update you on the Sphinx.  This is where we are now: 

I love sharing the cool secrets of the ROM with visitors, so it really made my day when our Name the Queen Bee Contest winner Kaitlyn visited the ROM with her mom and her brother Kynan (who also happened to be our third place winner).

Imagine you were a Pipistrelle Bat living in the ROM’s bat cave and one night, when all the lights went out, you snuck out of the cave to explore the wonderful galleries of the Museum. What would you want to see? Where would you go first?
