One of the greatest experiences of my life occurred when I was just 7 years old. My mom took me for a week-long adventure to Alberta to visit Drumheller and the Badlands.

We’re back. We all had a great trip out west. It’s hard to pick out highlights, as it all seems like highlights to me.
I’ve just come back from Grasslands National Park with the Grand Prize Winner of the Find the Baby Bison contest, Alexander Muth. I’m the lucky ROM employee chosen to accompany him and his family on the trip (actually no luck involved at all, it was an arm wrestling competition and I’m stronger than I look).
Kids loved the mystery of the lost baby bison.
They searched the 285 hectares of the Toronto Zoo. They inspected the great halls, galleries and dark corners of the Royal Ontario Museum. They probed the online world of Bison Collaborative websites. They left no stone unturned. They were dedicated, passionate about the mystery of the lost baby bison.
Here for ROM for the Holidays, it’s the long-awaited return of the Earth Rangers Studio Winter Wonderland in Life in Crisis: the Schad Gallery of Biodiversity!
It’s that time of year! ROM for the Holidays is finally here, and we’ve been hard at work in the Keenan Family Gallery of Hands-on Biodiversity (HOB for short) getting some new hands-on activities ready to go.
First up is the brand-new, never-before-seen touch table that we put together in honour of our lost baby bison.
