For every specimen you see on display in the Life in Crisis: Schad Gallery of Biodiversity, hundreds of hours went into its preparation. This komodo dragon will have its skeleton cleaned by dozens of people over months before it is ready for presentation inside the gallery. This time-lapse video shows a single day's work, one of many, inside the ROM lab.

June 1-2: Ancient Egypt Weekend
The ROM's Department of Natural History is offering 3-day workshops that will cover the broad array of families and provide an opportunity to develop specialized knowledge of a group of interest. In addition, we are offering a 2-day workshop on fish species at risk in Ontario. These workshops are designed primarily for professionals -- technicians, field biologists, and environmental consultants -- but other interested individuals are welcome.
