Online shopping at the Royal Ontario Museum is convenient and easy. Simply select an item from the event's calendar and it is added to your shopping cart. After each selection, you are shown the current contents of your cart. You can change or remove the items in your cart at any time. When you are satisfied with your selections, proceed to checkout.
How do I add an item to my shopping cart?
On each program page there is an enroll button. Clicking this button adds the item to your shopping cart. After making a selection the current contents of your cart are displayed.
How do I change or remove the items in my shopping cart?
On the page showing the current contents of your shopping cart, there is a small box beside each item indicating the quantity you have selected. Change this number to the new quantity you want to purchase. To remove an item from your cart, set the number to 0 (zero) or click remove. Click the Update link and your shopping cart will show the new quantities you selected.
How do I pay for my order?
When you have finished selecting the items for your shopping cart, click the "Check Out" button. On the next page that is displayed enter your billing and shipping information. Click the submit order button and you will be presented with an invoice for your order.
To ensure the confidentiality of your credit card and personal information, the ROM uses Eigen Developement's Mirapay service for all credit card transactions. Both the Eigen Development and ROM sites use SSL (Secure Socket Layers) to encrypt all information that you provide. This advanced security system ensures that your information is not decrypted until it arrives at its intended destination. Please see our Security for more details.
On the invoice page there is a "Click to Pay" button. Clicking this button initiates the secure credit card transaction and redirects you to the Mirapay site. You will be asked at this point to enter your credit card information.
When is my order complete?
When you have successfully entered your credit card information, you will receive an e-mail confirmation from Mirapay. You will also receive an e-mail from the ROM which includes your invoice. Please print out this invoice and save the e-mails. You will receive a second e-mail notification from the ROM when we have shipped your order.
What is the ROM Program refund policy?
A non-refundable fee of 20% will be charged on all refunds regardless of the reason for cancellation. Cancellations must be received in writing and are not refundable within five business days of the program start date. Send your cancellation notice and ticket to Attention: Programs Department, 100 Queen’s Park, Toronto, ON M5S 2C6 or e-mail programs@rom.on.ca.
