The Palaeo Playground is a free with admission family fun day filled with dinosaur activities, crafts and a once in a lifetime opportunity to meet a real dinosaur hunter palaeontologist!
Dig for dinosaur bones, build a dinosaur, watch as palaeontologists prepare real fossils for display. Crafts, costumes, and scavenger hunts will fill your day with dino delight.
Meet a real Dinosaur Hunter from 1 PM to 2 PM
Sunday September 9 - Meet Catherine Forster, Associate Professor of Biology at George Washington University.
Sunday September 16 - Meet Paul Sereno, National Geographic Explorer-in-Residence & SuperCroc hunter.
Sunday October 7 - Meet Phil Currie, Co-founder of the Royal Tyrell Museum of Palaeontology and model for palaeontolgist Alan Grant in the film Jurassic Park
Sunday October 21 - Meet Scott Sampson, Dr. Scott from Dinosaur Train!
Sunday November 25 - Meet David Evans, Associate Curator of Vertebrate Palaeontology at the ROM.
Saturday December 8 - Meet David Krause, Distinguished Service Professor at the University of Michighan
All six Dinosaur Hunters will be giving a family friendly talk at 2 PM in the theatre. Tickets for these talks are sold separately.
