Insiders' ROMwalks for Members: Stained Glass History - Huron Street

The Coming of Christ. Bloor Street United Church (Huron Street).

Exclusively for ROM Members.
Registration is required as space is limited. No waiting list.

Members will visit the Gothic Revival Bloor Street United Church and view mid-20th century stained glass by Celtic Studio, focusing on the Great South Window. This could be your only chance to see these windows for some time as the church may be demolished and replaced by a condo and modern church building.  You will also view the Arts & Crafts Eden Smith designed St. Thomas Church to examine outstanding examples of stained glass including windows from the Bromsgrove Guild in what has been called “perhaps the most beautiful small room in Toronto”.

Meeting Place:

Bloor Street United Church, 300 Bloor Street West at the red front doors.  Look for the purple ROMwalks umbrella.
