We begin in Florence, visiting some of its treasures of art and architecture, including the Palazzo Davanzati, to see life in a Renaissance Florentine house.
Then to Umbria, based in a beautiful villa-style hotel for day trips to towns including Assisi, featuring the Basilica of San Francesco with its renowned frescoes, and Perugia.
In the Tuscan countryside, admire the gorgeous landscape and history-steeped towns including Siena and Cortona, little changed since the Renaissance.
We will visit six UNESCO World Heritage sites, including Pienza, with its lovely square, Urbino and San Gimignano, indulge in two wine tastings and many wonderful meals.
