Douglas Coupland: everywhere is anywhere is anything is everything

January 31 – April 26, 2015 (ROM Engagement)

Douglas Coupland’s everywhere is anywhere is anything is everything, in collaboration with MOCCA, and presented by TD is the first major survey exhibition of the artist’s work. Featuring more than 100 works by one of Canada’s most celebrated contemporary artists, writers and thinkers, the exhibition looks at what defines Canadian culture through the exploration of popular culture, cultural identity, and technology’s ubiquity, raising provocative questions about the 21st century condition.  Coupland incorporates everyday materials and objects such as plastic lids, children's toys, pencils and books, to probe the way that the things, images and process of contemporary life affect our understanding of the world around us.
