PROM: Crystallized

ROM’s Young Patrons’ Circle hosts

3rd Annual Fundraiser on March 29, 2008

What does your future hold on Saturday, March 29, 2008? The Young Patrons’ Circle (YPC) at the Royal Ontario Museum (ROM) sees a glittering night with more than 1,000 guests at its third annual fundraising bash PROM: Crystallized. PROM shines on - and this year’s must-attend event promises to be bigger, better and even more sparkling as it moves into the soaring spaces of the Michael Lee-Chin Crystal. Presented by Hyundai Genesis and Swarovski Canada Limited, this spectacular evening serves up a mix of fortune tellers, crystal-inspired drinks and a live performance by Canadian singer-songwriter Kyle Riabko.

“PROM III takes the Museum fundraiser to a whole new level as we welcome our guests to the ROM’s Michael Lee-Chin Crystal,” says Mike Mallinos, PROM Committee Co-Chair. “In the midst of aura readers, ice sculptures, live and DJ-mixed music, PROM-goers will experience an unforgettable night of dancing and socializing in one of the city’s most stunning spaces.”

The YPC is pleased to present its first PROM Gala Dinner in the Lee-Chin Crystal’s Hyacinth Gloria Chen Crystal Court at 6:30 pm the same evening. The 200-plus dinner guests will be treated to an exquisite menu designed by Ted Corrado, c5 Restaurant’s Chef de Cuisine, and Caesar Guinto, Executive Event Chef for Restaurant Associates at the ROM. At 10 pm, Kyle Riabko and his band kick off the festivities as the party pours into the beautiful Samuel Hall Currelly Gallery, where party-goers can hit the dance floor and enjoy signature drinks under glittering décor. Guests are encouraged to embrace all that shimmers with platinum, silver and ice-inspired dress.

Tickets for the Gala Dinner (6:30 pm) are $500 each and include a gourmet meal in Chen Court (the Lee-Chin Crystal’s main floor atrium) and the party; Tickets for the Party (9 pm) are $150 each. To purchase tickets, visit www.rom.on.ca/prom.

Launched in November 2005, the Young Patrons’ Circle provides unique access to the ROM and the opportunity to meet other young professionals from diverse career, social and business circles—all sharing in their enthusiasm for the ROM. Currently, there are over 450 YPC members. Most members are in their 30s, but eligibility runs the range of 19-44 years, with a standard two-cardholder membership costing $1,000 per year.
