Celebrate Iranian Cultural Heritage Weekend at the ROM with Dance, Kids Activities, Gallery Tours, Readings, and more!

Celebrate the fourth annual Iranian Cultural Heritage Weekend at the ROM on Saturday, May 24, and Sunday, May 25, 2014 with two days of programs and activities including:

  •  Dance and musical  performances by local Iranian Canadian groups and soloists (10:45 am to 4 pm – Samuel Hall Currelly  Gallery)
  • Interactive workshops showcasing ancient Persia and the Mediterranean (11:00 am to 3:00 pm - Digital Gallery)
  • A reading and book signing by Reza Zarghamee, author of Discovering Cyrus: The Persian Conqueror Astride the Ancient World (Saturday, 2:00 pm  - 4:00  pm,  Eaton Theatre, Level B1 - East)
  • Experience a selection of Iranian films  programmed by the Eastern Breeze International Film Festival (Saturday, 12 pm to 1:30 pm, Sunday, 11:00 am to 12:30 pm,  Eaton Theatre, Level B1 - East)
  •  Guided tours through the ROM’s Galleries  featuring artifacts from  the Middle East, Medieval Iran and Greece & Egypt ( 11:30 am, 12:00 pm, 1:00 pm, 1:30 pm, 2:00 pm,  2:30 pm, and 3:00 pm – Meet in Chen Court, Level 1)
