Lunch with Leaders: Julie Payette & NASA Crew

The ROM's Young Patrons' Circle presents Canadian astronaut Julie Payette and her fellow NASA crewmates. They have completed five spacewalks, travelled 10.5 million kilometres in space and completed 248 orbits around the Earth. The team will speak about their space mission and how beautiful planet Earth looks when viewed from space. Lunch included.

This all-day program includes illustrated lectures and Docents in the Gallery of Textiles and Costume and the Gallery of Canada: First Peoples.

This illustrated talk explores different facets of the photographic portrait, its significance through the history of photography and its enduring fascination.

A co-presentation by the ROM's Institute for Contemporary Culture and the Art Gallery of Ontario.

Dr. Karen Kettering, Vice President, Russian Department, Sotheby’s, New York, discusses jewels in the Russian Court and the workshops of Fabergé and other jewellers. An ID Clinic precedes the lecture.

A Fair Country: Telling Truths About Canada with John Ralston Saul

In his startling vision of Canada, thinker John Ralston Saul argues that the famous "peace, order, and good government" that supposedly defines Canada is a distortion of the country’s true nature.

Dr. Eric Meyers, Bernice and Morton Lerner Professor of Jewish Studies, and Director, Center for Jewish Studies, Duke University, lectures on November 5.
