The ROM's main entrance is located on Bloor Street West; enter through the Michael Lee-Chin Crystal. School Groups may use the President's Choice School Entrance, located at the south end of the building on Queen's Park.

Taxis and other vehicles may stop on Bloor Street to drop off and pick up visitors with disabilities. Parking is not permitted in these lanes. A single, gently-sloped surface in textured granite and concrete leads from the Bloor Street layby area to the main entrance.

By Public Transportation

The St. George stop on the Bloor-Danforth subway line is closest to the ROM's main entrance on Bloor Street West. The Museum stop on the Yonge-University-Spadina subway line is closest to the President's Choice School Entrance.

The closest fully accessible stop is also St. George, with elevators to street level at the Bloor St. and Bedford Rd. entrance. The Museum stop is not accessible to wheelchairs.

Visitors can also take the 5 Avenue Road South bus route from the Eglinton subway station. Accessible service is provided in this route. Bike racks are available in this route.

The 142 Downtown / Avenue Rd Express bus route provides accessible service and runs north and south with stops at Queen's Park. Bike racks are available in this route. One single service is operated: the 142 (Downtown-Highway 401) branch operates during the peak periods, from Monday to Friday only.

By Car

If you are driving on the Queen Elizabeth Way (QEW), follow the Gardiner Expressway and take the Spadina Avenue exit. Proceed north on Spadina Avenue and turn right onto Bloor Street West. Proceed east on Bloor until you reach Avenue Road/Queen's Park. The Museum is on the southwest corner of Bloor Street West and Queen's Park.

From Highway 401, take Avenue Road south to Bloor Street West (see a map) or take the Don Valley Parkway south to the Bayview Avenue/Bloor Street West ramp and proceed west along Bloor Street to Avenue Road/Queen's Park.

The parking lot at 9 Bedford Road has accessible parking spots available and the facility is wheel-chair accessible by elevator.

Entry to and exit from the parking lot are through automated gates, and payment is received at Exit Lane Stations by Credit Card at Entry & Exit and Cashiers.

Parking Discount: Come to the Admissions Desk and ask for a parking voucher for a discount at the Toronto Parking Authority municipal parking lot at 9 Bedford Road. A three-hour minimum stay is required. When exiting the parking lot, present the voucher with your entry parking ticket to receive the following rates:

  • Monday to Saturday (7 am - 6 pm): $11 with voucher
  • Monday to Saturday nights (6 pm - 7 am): $5 with voucher
  • Sundays and Holidays (Maximum Per 12 Hour Period, Sunday 7 am - Monday 7 am): $6 (no voucher available)

All rates include HST. There are no half-hour rates.
