Ultimate Dinosaurs: Giants from Gondwana

Hosting this Exhibition

Some of the world's most unusual dinosaurs evolved in the Southern Hemisphere. Ultimate Dinosaurs: Giants from Gondwana will seek to answer the question of why southern dinosaurs are so unique and strange, and so different from their better-known North American counterparts.

Focusing on the biggest and boldest dinosaurs of South America, Africa, and Madagascar, visitors will go on an exotic adventure, being transported to the beginnings of the Age of Dinosaurs.

Featuring 17 full-sized casts--some never before exhibited--of some of the largest and oddest dinosaurs, along with specimens from the ROM's collections, the exhibition will show how continental drift altered the landscape of the ancient world and set the stage for the evolution of these bizarre creatures.

Family-friendly interactives, augmented reality technology and a variety of animations will illuminate some of the most spectacular dinosaur discoveries and highlight cutting-edge scientific research from the Southern Hemisphere during the last two decades.
