Kangmei Wang joined the ROM in 1997. As technician to both the H.H. Mu Far Eastern Library’s public and technical services and to the ROM Libraries serials collections, Kangmei has an important role in keeping the ROM’s research capabilities updated. Curators, staff and the public, including many university students, benefit from her unflagging effort.
With her language skills in English, Mandarin Chinese and French, Kangmei is able to assist many users who come to the ROM—both to search the library's holdings with its major collections in Chinese art and archaeology, and to understand the general workings of the Museum. This is particularly important for our many distinguished visitors who come from China and elsewhere to visit the Far Eastern section. Kangmei makes them all feel welcome.
