Resources for Game Developers

We think space is pretty cool...in fact we'd even say it rocks!  We've gathered some of our favourite resources to inspire you about this year's theme.

The best part? Most of these resources are open source and freely available for public use!

Selected games will be play-tested at an arcade set-up at several ROM events throughout the year. Similar to previous years, games can be played on PC laptops. This year, we're excited to also showcase games using:

Space Missions

Asteroids (everything you want to know about rocky airless worlds)

OSIRIS-REx Mission (launching Fall 2016)

Note: Dr. Kim Tait, ROM Earth & Space Curator, is a participating scientist for this mission and Canada will provide key technology including a 3D scanning laser instrument!

NASA Asteroid Re-direct Mission

Mars Note: The ROM has the largest collection of shergottites (a specific kind of Martian meteorite) in the world!
