Am I entitled to guest privileges?
Curator's, Museum, Director's, Royal Patrons' and Young Patrons' Circle memberships are entitled to one guest per card and the guest must accompany the cardholder. If you wish to upgrade your membership to one of these levels, please call us at 416.586.5700 or learn more online.
Can I visit the ROM, although I have not received my membership cards?
No problem, please bring a piece of identification to show at the Membership Desk. You will be admitted promptly. Your membership cards will be mailed to you shortly.
How do I change my address?
Log in with your member ID and password and change your address. Or call us at 416.586.5700.
How do I get tickets to ticketed exhibitions and are they free? How many do I get?
Tickets are free to members. The number of tickets you receive depends on your membership level. Tickets are timed every half hour and may be obtained at the Membership Desk each time you check in. Advanced tickets may be obtained in person at the Admissions Desk with your valid membership card. Admission is subject to exhibit capacity. The last available entry time will be one hour before closing.
When do I receive membership mailings?
ROM magazine is published four times per year in March, June, September and December.
Where can I park?
There are several paid lots within walking distance of the Museum. They are located at:
9 Bedford Road, north of Bloor Street, west of Avenue Road
37 Yorkville Ave, north of Bloor Street, east of Bay Street
See the map for locations. Discounted parking is available at the Toronto Parking Authority municipal parking lot ("green p") at 9 Bedford Rd. A three-hour minimum stay is required. Ask for a parking discount coupon at the Admissions Desk. Alternatively, there is metered parking on several side streets in the Bloor/Yorkville area.
May our caregiver use our ROM membership card?
A caregiver requires their own caregiver card for admission with the children. A caregiver card is available to any of the Circle level memberships.
Can my ROM membership card get me in anywhere else?
It depends on the level of membership that you have. All membership levels include free general admission to the Montreal Museum of Fine Arts, McCord Museum of Canadian History, Kamloops Art Gallery (Kamloops, BC), The Glenbow Museum (Calgary, AB), and Vancouver Art Gallery (Vancouver, BC). From time to time we have free reciprocal days with other art and educational institutions. Refer to your current newsletter for dates and places. Museum Circle, Director's and Young Patrons' Circle receive additional reciprocal privileges. For more information, see Reciprocal Listings.
Where can I shop and dine at the ROM?
Located at the pinnacle of the Michael Lee-Chin Crystal, c5 Restaurant Lounge provides superlative five-star dining along with a spectacular view of downtown Toronto. On Level B1, Food Studio is a casual family restaurant dedicated to providing healthy menu options in an earth-friendly environment.
On Level 1, ROM Museum Store carries an amazing array of souvenirs, mementos and merchandise inspired by our permanent galleries and special exhibitions. Also available is an exclusive assortment of reproductions and adaptations of pieces from the ROM’s own collections. On Level B1, ROMkids Store offers toys, books and interactive fun for the kid in all of us.

How is my donation/membership spent?
As a member, you help bring wonderful exhibits to the Museum, as well as strengthen the vibrant educational and public programs that engage children and people of all ages from many communities. Learn more.
I've lost my card. How do I get a new one?
Cards cost $5.00 each to replace and can be picked up and paid for at the Membership Desk. Either call us at 416.586.5700 or e-mail your request to membership@rom.on.ca. Please allow three to four business days.
What is Membership's Privacy Policy?
Your privacy is important to us. The ROM and the ROM Governors share a special relationship and you may receive additional information from the Museum and the Governors. If you do not wish to receive this information, please e-mail membership@rom.on.ca.
Occasionally, we make our lists of supporters available to other carefully screened organizations and selected groups that may be of interest to you. Please understand that by allowing us to exchange your name, you are helping us to build a stronger constituency to support the education and research of the Museum. If you prefer not to have your name exchanged, please e-mail membership@rom.on.ca.
The Membership Department operates a telemarketing room. Should you prefer not to be contacted by telephone, please e-mail membership@rom.on.ca.
How do I request free tickets/donations for my charitable organization/fundraiser?
The Royal Ontario Museum is an agency of the Government of Ontario and a charitable organization. However, we are committed to assisting the fundraising efforts of other charitable organizations and community groups wherever possible. Every month, the ROM will award 45 one-day passes on a first come first serve basis. Requesting a Donation from the Royal Ontario Museum.
